| 内容記述 | 日本の歴史上初めて、20011年4月から、公立小学校の必修科目 として英語教育が導入された。この目的はコミュニティーケーション能力を養うことであるが、現場の教員のアンケートを分析すると、明らかにこの目標の実現を妨げる障害物の数がたくさんあることに気づく。多様なクラス目標の解釈、あまり効果のなさそうな指導方法、教員の英語力、限られた授業時間などの課題がある。ここでは、これらの問題と向き合い、より良い方法を提案し解決する。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | For the first time in its history, Japan introduced compulsory English education at its public elementary schools in April of 2011. The new program proclaims the goal of developing students’ communicative English abilities, but through analyses of teachers’ questionnaire responses, the author reveals a number of obstacles that hinder the realization of this goal. Challenges such as diverse interpretations of class goals, ineffective teaching methods, teachers’ L2 abilities, and limited class time are brought to light. The author will conclude by offering suggestions for attending to these issues. | |||||||
