| 内容記述 | 本研究の目的は，日本社会において配偶者も恋人もいないシングルへの否定的ステレオタイプを検討することである。研究1ではGreitemeyer（2009）の追試を行い，シングルのターゲットが、パートナーのいるターゲットよりも，パーソナリティ，生活満足感，身体的魅力を否定的な評価を受けることを明らかにした。さらに，研究2ではシングリズムを生み出す心理過程について検討した。本研究では，結婚願望信念がシングルに対する否定的評価を導くと仮説を立てた。その結果，結婚願望信念を強く抱く人ほどシングルの外向性を否定的に評価した。 | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | The purpose of present study is to examine negative stereotype against single people who have neither spouse nor partner. In study1, we replicated the research which Greitemeyer (2009) conducted. Results showed that participants evaluated single targets more negatively than the targets having intimate partner in terms of personality, quality of life and physical attractiveness. In study2, we attempted to explore psychological mechanism that produce singlism. We hypothesized that a priori belief relevant to marriage-oriented lead people to evaluate negatively against singles. As a result, we found that people who have strong marriage-oriented belief evaluate negatively against single targets. | |||||||||
