| 内容記述 | 1596年のイエズス会年報では、津軽藩の初代領主である津軽為信は、大坂で修道士から信仰の手ほどきを受け、説教を聞き、洗礼を望んでいたとされる。また1607（慶長12）年の年報では、長男信建が自ら司祭を訪ね受洗した後に死を迎えたことが伝えられている 。津軽氏とキリシタンを扱う主要な文献は、基本的に上記の二つの年報に依拠している。そのような中、1591年度の年報には、インド副王使節として都に居たヴァリニャーノ巡察師を訪問した人物に、「奥州の大名」がいたとする記述がある。「奥州の大名」は高山右近を通じて説教を聞くことを望んだとされる。この人物が為信であれば彼のキリスト教接近の「契機」にキリシタン大名高山右近の存在が浮かび上がってくる。本稿はこの仮説について検証した。 | |||||||

| 内容記述 | Tamenobu is the feudal lord in Tsugaru, in the times when Missionaries of the Society of Jesus had enhanced the propagation of Christianity. He was interested in Christianity, and his two sons were baptized. Most literature about them and Christianity wrote on the basis of The Japan Annual Report of Jesuit in 1596 and in1607. However, in these materials, it is not known for the opportunity that Tamenobu became close Christianity. Jesuit missionary Luis Frois wrote in The Japan Annual Report of Jesuit in 1591, that "a lord of Oshu" has been led to Christianity by Ukon TAKAYAMA, who is the famous Christian feudal lord. I verified the possibility that this person "a lord of Oshu" is Tamenobu through the spatial and temporal relation between Tamenobu and Ukon. | |||||||
